How many cloth diapers do I need??

Before you read today's post, everyone please take a moment and give thought to all those whose lives have been lost and have been affected 11 years ago today, September 11, 2001.  We will never forget.

Once you make it through the Newborn stage, relatively unskathed, you will find cloth diapering just as easy, if not easier, since you don't have to deal with Meconium *insert happy dance here!* You may be wondering how many diapers you will need to get you through to potty training, it's not as bad as you think and less than a 20th of what you would need if you were using disposables!
If your baby has outgrown, or is outgrowing your adorible newborn stash, you can either put them away for the next baby, give them to a friend who is expecting, or sell them, newborn cloth diapers have an excellent resale value!
This may be the start of your venture with cloth diapers, if so... Welcome aboard the Fluff Train!!
To diaper your baby, again will depend on how often you want to wash, making sure you do diaper laundry at least every 3 days and changing baby every 2-3 hours (this is actually as often as you should change a disposable diaper as well!)
Now is the time you need to figure out and decide which diapers work best for you and your baby.  It could be a combination of all the diapers, or a certain type, or even a certain brand.  This can be done by trialing a bunch of different diapers, many shops offer a trial package, you go in and they set you up with a little bit of everything to try, you pay $X, go home, trial them for so many days, then you can either keep the package, or return them to the store for a refund or store credit (usually a little bit less than you paid).  This is a great way to figure out what works for you.
Washing every day you will need:
12-18 Cloth Diapers
1-2 Wetbags
20-25 Cloth Wipes
Biodegradeable Liners (Optional)
Pail Liner (Optional)
Cloth Diaper safe Bum Cream (Optional)
Cloth Diaper Detergent (Optional)
Washing every 2 days you will need:
20-25 Cloth Diapers
1-2 Wetbags
30-35 Wipes
Biodegradeable Liners (Optional)
Pail Liner (Optional)
Cloth Diaper safe Bum Cream (Optional)
Cloth Diaper Detergent (Optional)
Washing every 3 days you will need:
30-36 Cloth Diapers
1-2 Wetbags
35-45 Wipes
Biodegradeable Liners (Optional)
Pail Liner (Optional)
Cloth Diaper safe Bum Cream (Optional)
Cloth Diaper Detergent (Optional)
These are just my personal recommendations, and I was being generous, so you don't run out of diapers during washing.  These numbers will adjust to how often you change, and travel, and what works for you at night-time.  Depending on the type of cloth diapers you go with, don't forget you will need 2-3 covers to go with your prefolds and fitteds, and extra inserts if you go with pockets.  Now that you are in this stage of diapering, One Size diapers, should fit on your little one, so if this is the route you take, you will only need to purchase this many more diapers and you are done until potty training!  If you decide to stick with sized diapers, you will need to continue to purchase larger sizes until baby is potty trained.
