Not just cloth diapers...

Once I had the cloth diapering thing down, I knew I had to look into the extra's.  And extra's there are a few, some we need, some we want, and some just make sense, but all have a use.  I'm here to break them down for you starting with pail liners...
Pail Liner's
These are not a necessity, but some find that they make clean up easier.  It is a large waterproof bag that fits inside of you diaper pail (where you throw your dirty diapers).  Once you are ready to wash your diapers you just take out the pail liner full of diapers, empty the liner into the washer, then throw in the liner too, it is completely washable.
Wet Bag's
These are smaller bags that usually hold's a day's supply of diapers, they are great for travelling and daycare.  They are waterproof and normally have a zipper closure or draw cord.  They have many uses, from holding clean or dirty diapers, to a waterproof bag to take the beach or pool.
Bio-degradable Liners
These look like toilet paper, but are more durable.  They lay between the diaper and the baby.  They are used for easy clean up, you just pick up the ends of the liner when baby poops and throw the whole thing in the toilet.  They are also used is baby has a rash, to prevent the rash cream from touching the diaper (Many rash creams will cause the diapers to repel pee and they will leak)
Cloth Wipes
Well if you're going to cloth diaper, why not use cloth wipes as well!?  These are exactly what the sound like, they are the size of a standard baby wipe, you wet them, and give baby's bum a wipe, then throw them in the dirty diaper and wash.
Wipe Solution or cubes
Solution is great if you are using cloth wipes, it is a premade solution, that you can either make yourself or purchase,  you can store your cloth wipes in a sealed reusable container and either pour the solution over the wipes, or use a squirt bottle and spray some onto each wipe.  Cubes are also great, they are small pieces of cloth diaper friendly and baby friendly oils and soaps blended into a cube you desolve in water to make a solution.
Cloth Diaper Detergent
This isn't a must, but some people find it saves them the head ache of trying to figure out detergent.  It is a detergent made specifically for cloth diapers, and there are several brands on the market now.  As with most detergents some will work for your diapers and skin, and other's won't.  It is not necessary to buy a detergent specifically for diapers, as many normal laundry detergents work good with cloth diapers.
Inserts
These are a must if you are using pocket diapers, there are many different types and sizes of inserts, and it will be trial and error until you find the ones that work best for your child.  Natural fibres such as bamboo are more absorbant, and have less chance of causing a rash, but are more expensive than microfibre (which should never be placed directly against baby's skin) and other man made materials.
Cloth Diaper Bum Creams
Many babies develop rashes of some sort or another during their diapering years, and having a cloth diaper friendly cream on hand is great, they are safe for use with cloth diapers and still work well.  On the shelf diaper creams sold at the super market are not always diaper friendly and cause your diapers to repel pee, and start leaking which isn't always easy to fix.
