Needing a good strip

Have you got a case of the stinkies?  Or are your diapers starting to repel?  Maybe they are leaking when they never leaked before?  You are in need of a good strip!  It's easy and should do just the trick!

Set your machine on the largest load you can,
you want as much water as possible.
Put your diapers in the machine and run a cold rinse.
Set your machine on Hot Wash/Cold Rinse.
Add 2 Tbsp of Blue Dawn dish detergent.
Let the machine do a full cycle.
Run a second cold rinse.
Dry in the dryer with the heat on.

If you wash your diapers regularly, and use the proper amounts of detergent, not too much, and not too little, you shouldn't have to strip your diapers very often or at all.
Microfiber inserts will hold the amonia smell more than other fibers and may need to be stripped more often than the shells of the diapers.  These can be rinsed with cold water then put on the stove and boiled, with a squirt of blue Dawn dish detergent, and then rinsed several times, and it should clear up the stinkies in the microfiber.

I always used Tide or Purex Naturals to wash my diapers and never had a problem.  I've also used Rockin' Green and Bum Genius Cloth Diaper detergent and they worked about the same.  There is a full list of cloth diaper friendly detergent here at The Diaper Jungle
